Is there any better meal than the first one of the morning? Breakfast is so great that we’d be lying if we said we don’t have it in place of dinner at least once a week. For a meal that has the important job of fueling us for the day, it’s imperative to enjoy the best around. The good news is we believe we may have found it in the form of the best pancakes in New Hampshire!
To find the Heritage Farm Pancake House you'll need to make your way to Sanbornton in Belknap County. While it might be out of the way for some, we promise it's worth the trip!
Owned and operated by Matthew and Rachel Swain, Heritage Farm is a return to simpler times. They've been around since 2003 and currently operate as both a pancake house and a sugar house.
Their maple syrup is extra-special because it's made using a wood fired evaporator. As one of that last few major maple syrup makers in the state who use this method, you'll certainly taste the difference.
Their syrup is fantastic, but it's the pancake breakfasts you'll want to try first! You won't find a multi-page menu here, just the best pancakes in New Hampshire. And they'll keep you full all day.
Breakfasts here are served family-style which means everything is brought to the table for groups to eat as much or a little as they'd like. Think of it like a buffet right in front of you.
Eating breakfast here feels like an entire experience and it's one you won't soon forget. Just be sure to do it between March and December as they close for breakfast in January and February.
