You’ll Find The World’s Longest Candy Counter at Chutters Candy Store In New Hampshire
If you’ve lived in New Hampshire for awhile, you’ve no doubt heard of Chutters. Perhaps you’ve even sampled some of their treats. And although the classic candy store now has three locations in the state, a visit to the original building is an absolute must. Not only has it been in the same spot since the late 1800s, it happens to have the world’s longest candy counter.
The store's original owner, Frederick George Chutter, was a Congregational minister who came to Littleton to preach. Instead, he opened a dry goods store. Mr. Chutter was a kind, beloved member of the community, so over 100 years later, this shop still bears his name.
The candy counter really is the longest in the world -- they even have a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records to prove it.
In fact, you'll find more than 500 varieties on these shelves.
This is a sugar lover's paradise.
The homemade fudge and chocolates are to die for.
However, their original location in Littleton is definitely the most popular.
On Monday - Thursday, they're open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday hours are 9 - 6, and you can raid the candy counter from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
