Summertime in New Hampshire means spending our days finding the best ways to cool off. From lakes to rivers to beaches, we have to admit that it’s not very hard. But, what if you want to punch things up a little? You can try bringing fun floats and rafts to that lake with you. As long as you don’t mind lugging all that stuff from the car to the shore. As an alternative way to beat the heat that doesn’t include lots of logistics you can simply head to this fun waterpark in New Hampshire!
Whale’s Tale Waterpark in Lincoln is one of those places you remember from childhood! It’s been around for over 3 decades, which means it carries some great memories for even adult New Hampshirites. And over the years it’s just gotten better!
What makes this place so great isn’t just the fact that it will help you cool down on a hot summer day. This place is special because there’s just so much do to! In fact, you’ll want to make sure you get here when they open to truly maximize your time.
There are 17-acres of things to do and much of it is up to your discretion. Don’t want to fight for a beach chair if you arrive late? Bring your own chair and a towel and find a spot that works for you.
But we don’t think you’ll be doing much lounging. There are tons of slides and rides here, including the Downpour, Harpoon Express, Banzai Pipeline and Beluga Boggin. Those with the need for speed should check out The Plunge, which includes an almost completely vertical drop.
There’s also a wave pool where you can float around in an inner tube pretending to be in the ocean. The entry is zero-depth, which means kids can ease in and others can just stand to cool down.
Whale’s Tale Waterpark is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the season which runs from June 22nd through August 25th this year. You can learn more about them on their website.
