With winter slowly fading and daylight lasting longer, we’ve found that we’re spending a lot of time thinking about summer. That includes making plans, but it also means reminiscing about our childhood summers spent at camp. Lakes, games, and memories of the mess hall abound! Even if you’ve never been to camp, you may have seen movies or TV shows that offer a glimpse into what it’s like. All these summer camp memories are exactly why we love this restaurant! It’s like eating a meal at camp, but as an adult!
There are a number of restaurants and cafes at Mill Falls at the Lake complex in Meredith, but Camp might be our favorite. It's certainly the most unique!
The interior is a complete throwback to your days at camp. From the wooden walls to the stuffed moose on the wall to the lantern-like lights hanging on rustic chandeliers.
Gourmet options including steak, chicken and lobster grace the tables of diners and the choice is huge. This is a menu you definitely would not have found back in your summer camp days.
Camp is open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. You can learn all about them through their website or check them out on Facebook.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
