We love a story about a family business that’s endured over the years, and we also love a great hot dog. These two things come together perfectly with Puppy Love – a roadside hot dog stand that got its start 43 years ago, and is still going strong. Oh, and the hot dogs are to die for!
In 1978, they created a bigger setup in the back of a pickup truck, and moved to Main Street in Concord. The Goodwin's daughter, Gretchen Peters, took the business over in 2005 so her parents could retire.

There's a reason that Puppy Love has been such a Concord staple all these decades. The dogs are super simple, but perfectly prepared.
Puppy Love has a very short list of classic toppings for its hot dogs: ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, chili, cheese, sauerkraut, BBQ, celery salt, and Tabasco. These ten toppings can make more than 40,000 combinations, so you'll almost never have to eat the same exact version twice!

The line moves quickly, and once you bite into that juicy hot dog, you'll be glad you waited. Puppy Love is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; close Sunday.
