The Old Country Store in Moultonborough might just be the oldest general store in all of America.
The Holden family, current owners, have seen records that date all the way back to 1781, making this shop 237 years old!
It was first known as "Freese's Tavern" and was owned by a local fur trader, James George Freese, who bought it from General Jonathan Moulton when it was just land and a barn frame.
Over the years it was a post office, library and now an everything store with a historic museum.
Today you can find everything from souvenirs to candy.
But, we recommend heading straight for the old-time candy counter!
While unassuming from the outside, history buffs should put this on their must-visit list.
