The Lilac Festival In New Hampshire That’s Unlike Any Other

Spring in New Hampshire sure takes its time getting here – but when it arrives, the rewards are oh-so-wonderful. One of the highlights of spring in the Granite State is always the lilac bloom, but it never lasts long enough. That means it’s all the more important to drink in every beautiful day – and we have just the way to do so.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

This year’s Lilac Festival will take place Saturday, May 26, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. For more details, visit the festival’s Facebook event page or the historic site’s website. The Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion Historic Site is located at 375 Little Harbor Rd, Portsmouth, NH.
