Light Up Your Autumn With 20,000 Glowing Pumpkins At This Laconia New Hampshire Festival
Autumn is a special time of year in New Hampshire. The leaves change colors, the air gets chilly and everything starts to feel a little bit spookier. You can try to find a haunted house or read up on local ghost stories. Or, you can enjoy your Halloween the way we do. With a little bit of pumpkin spice and about 20,000 actual pumpkins all glowing in the dark of night.
Welcome to the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival! This fabulously fall event takes place every year in Lanconia and you won't want to miss it.
Over the course of two fun days, the community comes out in force to celebrate all things autumn and bring forth their best versions of the perfect jack-o-lantern.
While the weekend is a great way to get in the mood for the season, the best reason to attend are the nearly 20,000 pumpkins that line the streets and help make up the 34-foot tower in the center of town.
While the tower is incredible, just strolling the streets is an experience. Locals and businesses carve their best jack-o-lanterns which make the town feel straight out of a Halloween movie.
The 2019 New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival begins Friday, October 18th and the festivities take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Things continue on Saturday, October 19th from noon to 8 p.m. You can learn more on the official website.
