8 Christmas Light Displays In New Hampshire That Are Pure Magic
Christmas lights used to be a few strings hanged haphazardly, but these days there are some really magical light displays in New Hampshire. From family homes that take Christmas decorating to the next level, to commercial Christmas light operations, here are the eight best Christmas light displays in the Granite State this year.
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
1. The Mousseau and Roy family in Hudson
This family turns their home into a Christmas oasis each year. With an accompanying radio station and plenty of lights, you won't want to miss this display. You can find it at 75 Pelham Road in Hudson, where the displays runs from 4:30 to 9 p.m. daily.
2. Gift of Lights At New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon
It's worth a visit to Gift of Lights just to say that you've driven around the track at Loudon. However, the lights are also great, with displays that will delight the whole family, plus hot chocolate and visits with Santa.
3. Mitchell's Magic Christmas, Claremont
Mitchell's Magic Christmas isn't just about lights, but figurines and an army of Christmas toys. Head to 16 Francis Road in Claremont. The home lights up on November 25th and runs daily from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
4. Strawbery Banke, Portsmouth
The oldest settlement in Portsmouth will transport you to Christmas at a simpler time. Each year, Strawbery Banke hosts Vintage Christmas, and the Candlelight Stroll, where romance, history and Christmas Cheer come together beginning the first weekend in December.
5. Anderson Road and Mammoth Road, Windham
When this farm house was built in the 1700's, there was no way the owners could have imagined that it would become a Christmas light oasis. The white light display is classic New England Christmas beauty.
6. Santa'a Village, Jefferson
Of course New Hampshire's Christmas-inspired theme park has a wonderful light display. Check it out beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
7. Whitney and Nic's Winter Wonderland, Nashua
Nashua natives will love this displays of tens of thousands of lights. The Christmas spirit at Whitney and Nic's home begins the day after Thanksgiving and lasts until New Year's eve at 13 Countryside Drive in Nashua.
8. Brewery Lights, Anheuser-Bush Merrimack Brewery
Brewery Lights is a Brewery Tour unlike anything else: see the lights, eat s'mores, taste beer, and meet the horses. The season is already underway.
