Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? With the multitude of items you can choose to construct the perfect sandwich, the combinations are endless. Then, of course, there are those sandwiches which are simply too much: too good, too big, too crazy, or too whatever. Here are 11 of the most over-the-top sandwiches across Nevada you must try.

1. The Moo, Cluck, and Oink at Beefy's, Reno
While Beefy's has many amazing sandwiches and burgers, this truly over-the-top sandwich is comprised of a cheddar burger topped with a grilled chicken breast, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, pastrami, bacon, grilled onions, ANOTHER burger, pepper Jack, BBQ sauce, and an onion ring. Bon appetit!
2. The Dirka Dirka at the Full Belly Deli, Reno
This over-the-top sandwich is loaded with corned beef, pastrami, swiss cheese, mustard, pickles, and jalapeno cole slaw. It is quite the crowd favorite. One happy reviewer said this sandwich will make your tongue slap your brains out.
3. The Woody Allen at Carnegie Deli, The Mirage, Las Vegas
Lotsa corned beef and lotsa pastrami topped with cole slaw on rye bread is the quintessential New York-style deli sandwich. Impossible to eat like a "regular" sandwich, this offering is lovingly called "The Leaning Tower of Carnegie."
4. The Roast Pork Grinder at Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint, Carson City
The roast pork grinder with roast pork, sauteed spinach, pesto, marinara sauces, crispy pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and melted provolone and mozzarella cheeses is a new one at Sassafras, but it sure to be a favorite. Wow!
5. The Whiz Cheesesteak at Pop's Philly Cheese Steak, Las Vegas
Frankly, any of Pop's cheesesteaks are fabulous, but the consensus seems to be that the cheesesteak with Cheez Whiz, onions, and peppers is the best. For even more over-the-top goodness, try the triple cheese (American, provolone, and Whiz) with chili.
6. The Piled High Patty Melt at Our Bar, Reno
This amazing patty melt consists of a homemade hamburger patty, pastrami, bacon, grilled onions, an over-hard egg, and melted Swiss on rye bread. Our Bar's Jack Daniel's Mahogany Burger is also a must-try.
7. The Triple Bypass at Heart Attack Grill, Las Vegas
If this triple bypass burger with cheese, bacon, and chili isn't over-the-top enough, there's also the quadruple bypass. With fries. Oh, and keeping in line with the restaurant's theme, diners are given hospital gowns and servers wear nurse garb. Good luck!
8. The Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich at Racks Bar & Grill, Ely
This amazing sandwich is piled high with 20-hour house-smoked pulled pork, Racks' special BBQ sauce, and onion rings all served on a pretzel roll. Makes your mouth water, doesn't it?
9. The Turkey Pesto Panini at Minden Meat & Deli, Minden
You simply must try this over-the-top sandwich loaded with pan-roasted turkey, pesto, chipotle mayonnaise, grilled onions, black olives, and melted provolone cheese served panini-style on sourdough bread. It's fabulous!
10. The Gyro Burger at Burger Me, Reno
This unique burger consists of a 1/3-pound lamb patty, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, mixed greens, onions, and tomato served on a fresh roll. Burger Me has other amazing sandwiches including the BBQ Bison Burger and the Train Wreck. Try them all!
11. The New York Steak Sandwich at The Star Hotel Basque Restaurant, Elko
Grilled to order with cheese and sauteed mushrooms on a fresh roll, this sandwich receives accolades from locals and visitors. Yummy!
