With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s that time of year to set up Christmas lights and spread some holiday cheer! From private homes to large-scale exhibits, we’ve collected some of the best Christmas light displays across the state for your enjoyment.
1. Bellagio Conservatory
The elegant Bellagio Hotel is always decorated to the nines for the Christmas holidays. Inside the hotel is the Bellagio Conservatory which each year is transformed into a unique holiday display. If you can't visit it "for real" there's a web cam on the Bellagio's web site where you can watch it 24 hours a day! The conservatory's holiday exhibit opens on December 1 through January 2nd. It is open to the public and to hotel guests 24/7 for free. And while you're there, visit the famous Bellagio Fountains, which features Christmas music during the holiday season. 2. Carson City State Capitol
The State Capitol and surrounding grounds are lit up each year with thousands of Christmas lights. The Capitol building is located at 101 North Carson Street, Carson City, NV.
3. Ethel M. Chocolate Factory Cactus Gardens
This wonderful chocolate factory is also the home of the largest cactus garden in the southwestern United States. Each year during the holiday season, the 3 acres of cactus are covered with holiday lights. The spectacle is free and open every night from 5-10 pm. You can also visit the chocolate factory while you're there and on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, visit with Santa from 5-9 pm. The exhibit is open November 15 through January 1st.

4. Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Glittering Lights is a drive through holiday light extravaganza that features 2-1/2 miles of lights. You can drive through the event in your own car or take a "Santa Tram" available on select dates. On November 20th there is also a "Pajama 5k" through the lights to raise money for the Speedway Children's Charities.
Glittering Lights is open November 11, 2016 to January 7, 2017. Hours in November are Sunday-Thursday, 5:30-9 pm and Friday, Saturday and holidays 5:30-10 pm. In December, hours are Sunday-Thursday 5-9 pm and Friday, Saturday and holidays 5-10 pm. Tickets are $20 per vehicle Monday-Thursday and $30 per vehicle Friday-Sunday, holidays and through Dec 19-25. Discounts are available for Goodwill of Southern Nevada donations and there are also season pass options. Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is located at 7000 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, NV 89115.
5. Hidden Valley Parade of Lights
The Hidden Valley Parade of Lights is a 30 year tradition for the Hidden Valley Homeowners' Association. The light displays are a contest between the homeowners each year and the public is welcome to visit the neighborhood and enjoy the show. The Hidden Valley neighborhood is on the east side of Reno, Nevada. Take Pembroke Avenue east from East McCarran Boulevard. The entrance to the neighborhood is after the Rosewood Lakes Golf Course.
6. Opportunity Village Magical Forest
The Magical Forest at Opportunity Village is now in its 25th year! The walk-through exhibit has millions of lights, miniature golf, photos with Santa, a "Forest Express Passenger Train" and other fun entertainment for the whole family. Proceeds from the tickets go to the Opportunity Village programs for people with intellectual disabilities. Tickets are $11.99 for adults and $9.99 for children (rides are purchased separately). The forest is open at 5:30 pm nightly from November 19, 2016 through January 1, 2017. The forest is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. 7. Sam’s Town Mystic Falls Winter Wonderland
Mystic Falls Park is an unusual year-round exhibit within the Sam's Town Casino. A lovely waterfall is the setting for a laser light and water show. During the Christmas holidays, the show takes on a special holiday theme. The show is free and the decorated park is open November 25 - January 1, 2017. Santa is also there to greet children from 4-8:30 pm Thursday and Friday and 12-8:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday between November 25th and December 23rd. The light show is every day at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 pm. Sam's Town is located at 5111 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, NV 89122.
8. "Nevada Christmas” at the Kremer’s
Nevada Christmas is a sequenced light, music and video display at a private residence. The Kremer family has been putting on their show since 2004. This year the first show starts on November 26th. Hours are Monday-Thursday 5:30-9:00 pm, Friday-Sunday 5:30-10 pm, and 5:30-11:30 pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The address is 1176 Chaparral Court, Minden, NV 89423.
9. Town Square Las Vegas
From November 12th to December 24th, children can visit Town Square Las Vegas for photos with Santa. The entire shopping center is decked out with lights and a brilliant Christmas tree. Visitors can also enjoy "Snow in the Square" with 10 minutes of generated snow accompanied by holiday music. The snow happens every night Monday-Thursday at 7 pm and Friday-Sunday at 7 and 8 pm. Town Square Las Vegas is located at 6605 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
10. Hypnotist Marc Savard's Home
Every year comedian and hypnotist Marc Savard creates an amazing light display featuring approximately 95,000 lighted bulbs and a mix of top 40's and holiday music. The light show runs from Thanksgiving through New Year Eve from 5-11 pm nightly. The location is 1420 E. Robindale Road, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
11. Lights of Tanea
This light display is at a private residence in Truckee Meadows. The massive display was created to bring awareness to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and to encourage donations to help the fight to cure MS. Over 41,000 lights are used and are timed with Christmas music. The show also includes animated fireworks, lasers and other lighting. The show runs from November 25th through Christmas at 16180 Tanea Drive, Reno, NV 89511. Hours are Sunday-Thursday 5-10 pm; Friday-Saturday 5-11 pm; and 5 pm until midnight on Christmas Eve and Christmas.
