This Wyoming Waterfall Is So Hidden, Almost Nobody Has Seen It In Person

Discover the hidden Wolf Falls in Bighorn National Forest, a challenging yet rewarding 15-mile hike with stunning scenery.

Have you ever wanted to see a beautiful waterfall, but the lines and crowds in our busy national parks discouraged you? If you're up for a long and brutal hike, you can discover one of the most hidden cascades in the whole state. Not too many people have made this difficult, but rewarding, hike!

Way out in Bighorn National Forest there's a waterfall deep in the woods that's one of the most hidden in all of Wyoming.

The 15-mile out-and-back trail starts off as an ATV road, but the wildflowers and wildlife you see along the way will make you forget you're following any sort of road at all.

Soon, the peaceful road ends and you're in the wilderness! You've got quite the trek ahead of you if you want to see Wolf Falls.

There are switchbacks, but you'll still have to contend with an elevation gain of around 3,300 feet. That's no walk in the park!

There are fascinating sights along the way, including the abandoned campsite shown below. What do you think the earliest campers thought of this gorgeous scenery?

You'll hear Wolf Falls before you see it, but when it comes into view, it will take your breath away.

This hidden, underrated cascade tumbles for more than 150 feet, making it well worth the arduous journey to get here.
