The One Hikeable Lake In Wisconsin That’s Simply Breathtaking In The Fall
Autumn is the best time for hiking. The weather starts to cool off, and the fall foliage turns beautiful places into stunning sights. This spot offers not one, but two pretty lakes to explore this fall.
Veteran's Memorial County Park in Langlade County offers some serious natural beauty in the autumn months.
The park has two lakes: Jack Lake, which covers 85 acres, and Game Lake, a smaller, 21-acre lake.
Take the Game Lake Nature Trail, a one-mile long trail that takes you from Jack Lake to Game Lake. Explore the area and enjoy the rich, vibrant autumn colors.
The lakes are also perfect for kayaking and canoeing. The "no motor" policy keeps this beautiful place quiet and peaceful.
The campground is open until December 1st, so you can even stay the night surrounded by gorgeous fall foliage.
