Everyone In Washington Must Visit This Epic Waterfall As Soon As Possible

Washington is home to tons of amazing waterfalls! From Palouse Falls to Snoqualmie Falls, we’re lucky to have so many jaw-dropping cascades in our state. But out of the dozens of falls in the Northwest, you’ve got to see this gem in Mount Rainier National Park. Narada Falls is a breathtaking waterfall unlike any other, with the Mount Rainier Highway crossing between its two tiers. Between its easy access and matchless beauty, this cascade is an absolute must-see.

You can find this stunning waterfall in Mount Rainier National Park, located about one mile west of the entrance to the Paradise area. The upper tier drops about 168 feet, and is described as a horsetail because it features multiple channels of water that fan out as they fall down a basalt cliff wall. The lower tier's much smaller, and only drops about 20 feet.

Reachable by a short and slippery path, Narada Falls features a viewpoint where you can enjoy the most amazing perspective of the cascade. It's best to visit just after mid-morning on a sunny day when the falls will be fully illuminated.

During the winter, the water often freezes into 150 feet of icicles, resulting in a perfect spot for ice climbers. No matter what season it is, you're bound to be amazed by its jaw-dropping beauty.

You'll also be able to spot a lovely concrete arch bridge spanning the Paradise River just above the falls. Built in 1927, it was actually constructed by the same architect who created the bridge over the iconic Christine Falls, which is located only about 4 miles west from here.

After you're done admiring this magnificent waterfall, be sure to check out the Narada Falls Trail from this viewpoint to Reflection Lakes. The moderate 5-mile loop will make for an extraordinary adventure through Mount Rainier National Park.

"Narada" even comes from a Hindu word meaning "pure," and after a visit to this waterfall in the Northwest, you'll definitely agree its natural beauty is matchless. Check out the gorgeous falls in action:

Have you been to this waterfall in Washington before? Isn't it just amazing??
