Sitting pretty along a 4,500-acre lake by the same name, Lake Claytor State Park is a popular destination during the summer months.

With a lovely little stretch of beach and a full-service marina with docking slips, fuel, and supplies, it’s easy to see yourself spending a summer day here.

The 472-acre state park is actually the smallest state park in Virginia, but don’t let its size fool you, there’s a lot to see here.
