After entering the park and paying the entrance fee, you'll want to look for the Bearfence Mountain Trail parking area, which tends to fill up quickly, so arrive as early as you can.

After parking, you'll cross Skyline Drive and follow the blue-blazed trail to the top of the mountain.

Don't be fooled by the short length of this hike; this is one tough climb and scramble! Sturdy hiking shoes are definitely recommended.
