The farm welcomes visitors for special events and it’s the perfect excuse for an unforgettable little rural escape. Here’s what you need to know about Silver Maple Farm.

Silver Maple Farm is located in Berryville, near the West Virginia border. It’s about 70 miles west of Washington. The farm raises Nigerian Dwarf goats, an American breed that’s derived from West African Dwarf goats.

The farm is not a petting zoo – it’s a working farm that doesn’t allow walk-ins - but it does welcome guests on some very special days.

The farm has special “Goat Snuggle” events. Yep, you get to snuggle with one of these little cuties.

There are also goat yoga events on the farm. You can get your workout in with just a little bit of a distraction that makes the event unforgettable!

The goats are beautiful and docile and they love meeting new visitors on the farm! Would you like to meet these fuzzy little triplets?

When the goats aren’t melting the hearts of visitors, they are hard working goats. They are milked daily and the farm makes soap, fudge, cheese, yogurt, and more. The goats also help clean up the leaves!

The goat cuddle and yoga events often sell out and advance tickets are required. Events are held from March through December and new baby goats are born throughout that time. More information on events can be found on the Silver Maple Farm website. If you love cute animals, here’s another adorablele Virginia destination you’ll want to seek out.
