If you enjoy spending time outdoors as much as we do, we suggest heading to one of Vermont's best natural water parks this summer. Jamaica State Park has something for everyone. In addition to camping and hiking, one of the park's highlights in the summer is splashing around Salmon Hole. Read on to learn more about this serene spot to cool off and play in Vermont's West River.
If you're coming from Stratton, start your outdoor adventure at Jamaica State Park by taking VT-30 South for about 30 minutes.
As you can see, Salmon Hole is the ultimate destination to escape on a hot day. Along with taking a dip in the water, we suggest packing a picnic for your outing. You're welcome to camp in the park and go fishing in certain parts, too.
Lucky for you and your family, Salmon Hole is near the playground in Jamaica State Park.
The convenient location of this natural water park makes Salmon Hole the perfect destination for kids of all ages.
In addition to sunscreen and a hat, we suggest bringing water shoes since the area is a bit rocky.

The hike to Hamilton Falls is rated moderate. Although you'll want to cool off after following this trail, please note that swimming is not permitted here.
