The Incredible Hike In Vermont That Leads To A Fascinating Abandoned Quarry
The next time you're in the mood for a challenging adventure, we recommend hiking the Brownville Trail. Located within Mt. Ascutney State Park and near West Windsor, Vermont, this in-and-out trail is just about six miles and will take about four hours to do. During this outing in nature, you'll be treated to epic views of the Green Mountain State and have plenty of opportunities to birdwatch and check out wildlife. In addition to all this, you'll come across the abandoned Norcross Quarry.
To get started on your epic hike along the Brownville Trail, take Route 44 in Windsor to reach the trailhead.
At about 1.1. miles into your Vermont hike to an abandoned place, you'll come across some remains from the Norcross Quarry.

As you hike a little further up the trail, we suggest stopping at the Quarry Top Lookout to see this abandoned place in Vermont from a different vantage point.
Even though the trail is rated hard and open throughout the year, leashed dogs are welcome to join you on your outdoor adventure in Vermont.
