One of the biggest challenges a Vermonter can face in the summer is what amazing hike to choose that day, especially when you consider these 11 hikes in Vermont. But when winter hits, the hiking trails get a little quiet. Most people who are enjoying the outdoors are either skiing or snowboarding. However, for those who choose to take on the trails for a hike in the winter, they'll be greeted by some of the best sights.
Camel's Hump is known for being one of Vermont's most scenic points of interest for locals and out-of-state visitors looking for a challenging, but beautiful hike.
What people may not know, is that it's just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer...if not more!
You can hike to the summit by taking the Monroe Trail, Alpine Trail or Long Trail which all have been rated as "difficult."

For a more moderate hike to Camel's Hump, consider the Forest City or Allis Trail.
This hike can get strenuous at times, but once you reach the top you'll be rewarded with a gorgeous 360° vista.
On a foggy day, the hike won't be much for views, but it sure helps create some pretty cool pictures.
