There’s An Emerald Waterfall Hiding In Vermont That’s Too Beautiful For Words

There may not be quite as many natural waterfalls in Vermont as you'll find in some states out west, but it does have one gorgeous one that seems to drip with emerald waters. Here’s why you should plan a visit to this beautiful swimming hole and waterfall in the Mad River Valley! It might just become your new favorite place to relax and unwind in nature in Vermont.

Splash your way to happiness at this fun waterfall in Vermont. Warren Falls is a natural swimming hole with mesmerizing good looks.

Located in the Mad River Valley, Warren Falls is tucked away near the town of Warren. This historic village offers plenty to do and see, but you’ll probably want to head straight to its epic waterfall.

The enchanting emerald color of Warren Falls is the biggest draw here. Visitors and locals alike love paddling around the falls’ pools and sunbathing on the rocks.

If you happen to be around during the winter, the quick drive to the falls is still well worth it. The cascade’s pools turn a lovely shade of blue when they freeze over.

Though some of the pools are quite deep (about 10 feet), we wouldn’t recommend diving. It can be hard to determine the level of the rocky floor and injury is likely if you accidentally dive into a shallow spot.

Still, you can have plenty of fun simply wading, floating, and riding the falls down their rocky ledges. It’s a great activity for all ages.

Visiting the falls is free and there is a parking lot located on the right side of Route 100. Be sure to pack snacks, water, and your sense of adventure.
