When you think of the zoo in Utah, you likely think of Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. We love Hogle, and the opportunities it provides to get up close and personal with wildlife, but there's another small zoo in northern Utah that's a fun spot to spend an afternoon.
Zootah at Willow Park is a small zoo that's the perfect spot to visit with kids. The zoo is located at 419 W. 700 S., Logan, UT 84323.
The grounds are beautiful, and you'll enjoy strolling along the shaded pathways as you view the animals.
There are 80 species of animals to visit at Zootah.
From the North American Elk, which can reach 700 pounds...
...to the African Spurred Tortoise that can live for 150 years...
...you're sure to find animals that will delight you and make you want to learn more about their species.
Some of the magnificent creatures live here because they sustained injuries in the wild and can no longer fend for themselves.
Others love to interact with humans at the zoo, and they're often seen in education sessions and when their handlers take them for walks around the zoo.
Watch for special presentations so that you can learn more about the animals at Zootah.
You can get up close and personal with some of the residents here, like these adorable baby goats.
Buy a bag of bird food for just $1 and feed the geese and ducks.
