Stokes Nature Center Is The Most Peaceful Place To Experience Fall Foliage In Utah

Utah's fall weather is perfect for outdoor adventures - it's not too hot, and it's not too cold...it's just right. Add in some beautiful fall foliage, and you've got the ultimate day trip. Many Utahns don't know about Stokes Nature Center, but it should definitely be on your fall bucket list. It's a hidden gem in the mouth of Logan Canyon, and it's absolutely gorgeous this time of year.

Logan Canyon is one of Utah's most beautiful spots, and during autumn months, it's absolutely bursting with color.

The canyon is home to Stokes Nature Center, a non-profit center that opened back in 1997. It holds the official permit for education in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

Stop by to join in one of the center's community programs. Weekly story time, called "Nature Tales" is set up for kids ages two to six, and it occurs every Friday at 11 a.m.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy the lecture series called "Canyon Conversations," where you'll find out all kinds of cool things about Logan Canyon and the flora and fauna all around us. Join in Canyon Conversations every Saturday at 11 a.m.

There are plenty of opportunities to hike here, too!

Take a stroll down the Logan River Trail. It's an easy hike that's suitable for just about everyone.

Allow for plenty of stops to capture some fall foliage views with your camera.

Stop by the center to check out a backpack that's full of educational activities to guide you through your exploration.

Kids will love the Mud Kitchen play area, where they can mix up mud pies, drive construction trucks around, and engage in imaginative play outdoors.

Bring a picnic lunch along! There are several picnic tables outside the center, where you can hang out, enjoy a snack, and watch for wildlife.

Stokes Nature Center is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is free.
