The Swimming Spot In Utah You Must Visit Before Summer’s Over

Burraston Ponds in Mona, Utah, offers a popular swimming hole with rope swings and platforms for summer fun.

With temperatures still in the high 90s around most of Utah, it seems like summer might never end, but before you know it, we'll be dragging out our sweaters and digging the snow shovels out of the garage. You'll want to make the most of these balmy days, and one great way to have fun and cool off on a hot, summer Utah day is to find a swimming hole.

This gorgeous swimming hole in Mona is a popular spot to cool off on a hot day.

Burraston Ponds are deep enough to make excellent swimming holes, and you can even somersault right off a rope swing into the water here.

You'll find several platforms to jump off - some as high as 30 feet.

Make your way carefully up the homemade ladders on the trees.

Hold on tight to the rope swing and jump!

Just make sure you have the guts to let go...otherwise you'll come crashing back into the tree.

It's almost as much fun to watch some of the daredevils practice their acrobatics on the rope swings as it is to jump in yourself.

Mona is about 30 minutes south of Provo. Burraston Ponds is located just south of Mona.
