You’ll Fall In Love With The Tiny Waterfall Hiding Along This Breathtaking Utah Trail

Trails that lead to waterfalls are some of my favorite places to explore in the summer months and here in Utah, we have a handful of bucket-list-worthy waterfall hikes. One that is lesser known but certainly worthy of a visit is Lisa Falls in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The trail is short (less than 0.5 miles) and quite easy. It is perfect for a family adventure. And while the waterfall at the end isn’t massive, it’s one natural wonder that you’ll quickly love.

Just a short drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon is Lisa Falls. You will find the trailhead for this waterfall hike on the north side of the road.

The trail to reach Lisa Falls is short and sweet. The trail is 0.2 miles and is an out-and-back trail. It’s great for tiny hikers or those who don’t have a lot of time for a hiking adventure.

The trail itself is quite beautiful. You will be surrounded by gorgeous mountains, lots of trees, and breathtaking views.

Lisa Falls Trail is open year-round, but keep in mind that the winter months can lead to icy conditions and the trail travels through potential avalanche terrain. I particularly love visiting in the fall when you are surrounded by the beautiful fall foliage that Little Cottonwood Canyon is known for.

And while the trail is certainly breathtaking, nothing beats the waterfall view.

Just make sure you don’t climb on the rocks and boulders surrounding the falls. They are slippery and several individuals have fallen.

While this waterfall hike is perfect for the entire family, keep in mind that you must leave your pups at home. They aren’t allowed on this hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
