This Utah Hike Comes With A Gorgeous View You’ll Never Forget

Crimson Trail in Logan Canyon, Utah, offers a moderately difficult 4.8-mile hike with stunning views and vibrant wildflowers.

Springtime in Utah is one of the best times to hike. It's warm enough that the snow is starting to melt, and everything is beautiful and green. Here's a hike in northern Utah that's a bit strenuous, but it's well worth your effort because the views are incredible.

Crimson Trail is located in Logan Canyon. It's a 4.8-mile-long loop trail that takes you through some of the canyon's most incredible scenery.

You'll find the trail head at the Guinavah Campground, or you can access it from the Spring Hollow Trail.

You'll want to be well-prepared for this hike, which is considered moderately difficult.

Make sure that you have plenty of water with you, and wear layers so that you'll be prepared for any kind of weather. Remember - this is Utah, so a spring hike could include 80 degree temperatures or an unexpected snow shower! You'll also want to have on proper footwear; parts of this hike are steep and you'll need good traction.

You'll enjoy some shady, forested terrain early on in the hike. Later, you'll be in full sun exposure, so you'll want to make sure you have your sunscreen handy.

Watch for vibrant wildflowers during spring and summer months.

Logan Canyon is a gorgeous place year-round but in the late spring and early summer, it's filled with the colorful blooms of wildflowers.

This hike isn't about reaching your destination quickly; the views along the way deserve your attention, too.

You'll climb a series of switchbacks and gain a total of 1,374 feet during your hike, but don't forget to stop and pay attention to your surroundings along the way. There's plenty of picturesque scenery here, and you can catch your breath while you take some photos.

The trail ascends up to the top of China Wall, then proceeds along the wall for awhile.

The trail gets quite close to the edge of the cliffs, which allows you to get some absolutely amazing views.

You'll have an excellent vantage point to see Logan Canyon from here.

This canyon is arguably the most beautiful in Utah.

As you continue along the loop trail, you'll descend back down the mountain. You'll be able to see the feature known as China Wall even better.

You can see why these huge rock cliffs are called "China Wall." They really do look like a big wall.

During spring months, this trail can be icy, especially in the shady spots. Bring along some hiking poles and some traction cleats for your hiking boots.
