You’ll Be Pleased To Hear That Utah’s Upcoming Winter Is Supposed To Be Warmer Than Normal

Are you dreading the upcoming winter? Last year in Utah, the weather was pretty mild, and you might be happy to hear that the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a warmer-than-average 2018-2019 winter ahead. Read on to find out more!

In Utah, we're all about the snow during winter months. According to the Farmer's Almanac, the 2018-2019 winter season in northern Utah should include plenty of fluffy, white powder, with higher than average precipitation thanks in part to an anticipated El Niño.

While the Beehive State might receive more snow than normal, the temperatures are also expected to be higher than we typically experience, and that should hold true for every month during the season, from November through March.

More snow with warmer temperatures means plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy winter recreation!

Avid skiers and snowboarders should also be happy, with plenty of powder this year.

How about Southern Utah? Well, the forecast is much the same. More precipitation will bring greater-than-normal snowfall to the higher-elevation areas...

...while the rest of the southern portion of the Beehive State will likely see a little more rain than normal. Warmer temperatures should make a winter in St. George pure paradise!

All that extra precipitation across the state leads to a great water year, so our waterfalls and rivers should be downright magnificent in spring 2019.
