Tips for Spring Hikes in the U.S.
The warmer weather, colorful wildflowers, and roaring waterfalls will make you want to spend time outdoors, but no matter the trail, you must be prepared. Wear layers, including a rain jacket, as spring weather can quickly change. I also recommend wearing boots or sturdy footwear. In many areas, spring can leave trails muddy and slick, and you want to keep your feet, ankles, and other exposed areas protected. Of course, sun protection, water, and snacks are always a must when on the trails, no matter the time of the year.
There's something invigorating about watching the landscape change on a spring hike, and when wildflowers create a sea of color, it's truly magical. There are beautiful flower-filled spring hikes across the U.S., and the above trails are just a few options. No matter where you go or how far you explore, enjoy the sunshine on your face, the fresh air, and the colorful scenery surrounding you. The earth is truly alive, and you get to witness it.
