Texas has dozens, if not hundreds, of waterparks, which means some inevitably fly under the radar. Typhoon Texas is one such place, with a wide range of attractions for the whole family ranging from splash pads and lazy rivers to heart-pounding thrill rides.
With locations in both Austin and Katy, Typhoon Texas is one of the most underrated waterparks in the state.
You'll find the Katy location, which we'll primarily be discussing today, on Fort Bend Road.
Nearly a dozen total rides means the park has something for all ages to enjoy.
From splash pads for the little ones to heart-pounding slides for thrill-seekers, both kids and kids at heart will have a blast.
If you're in the mood for nothing more than a leisurely float, the Lazy T River is the place to be.
This 480,000-gallon lazy river of crystal-clear water will take you on a winding journey all over the park, with three beach entry points, to boot!
For all the thrill seekers out there, an array of fast-paced slides promise to keep the adrenaline flowing all day long.
There's a seven-story freefall, launch capsule with a floor that drops out from beneath your feet, tubes that twist and turn like rattlesnakes, and several other palm-sweating attractions.
Typhoon Texas certainly hasn't forgotten about the kiddos!
With three areas designed just for them, nobody gets left out here.
So no matter how you like to make a splash, Typhoon Texas definitely belongs on your summer bucket list.
It's a family affair that you'll remember for years to come.
