An Underrated Beach In Texas, Mustang Island Has The Whitest, Most Pristine Sand In The State

Mustang Island near Corpus Christi offers a secluded and beautiful beach experience with various outdoor activities.

Texas beaches, especially in the Galveston area, are known for having muddy, brown sand with water to match - not to mention the disgusting seaweed riddling the shoreline. However hard to believe it may be, our state actually has some beautiful beaches to offer as well. One you've probably never heard of is Mustang Island, an 18-mile stretch of land near Corpus Christi. With its beautiful sand and blue water, it won't take long before you fall in love with this sandy beach in Texas. Let's check it out.

With over five miles of pristine coastline, Mustang Island is the perfect little getaway for you and your family.

It's much less popular than other beaches in Texas, so you're guaranteed an experience nothing short of absolute relaxation and rejuvenation.

Not only can you enjoy the gorgeous water and sand, but you can also go fishing in the bay, bird watch, camp, picnic, hike, kayak, and more - all with few to no distractions due to the secluded nature of the beach.

If you want to stay overnight, there are 48 campsites with running water and electricity as well as 50 drive-up primitive sites with utilities less than a mile away.

One of the most popular attractions at Mustang Island is the paddling trail, a 20-mile long section of the bay that passes through some of the best shallow-water fishing areas in Texas and provides close-up views of coastal birds.

So if you're looking for a new beach to explore this season, look no further than Mustang Island.
