The Dallas Arboretum brings the 12 Days of Christmas song to life with animated gazebos, festive activities, and holiday dining.
The 12 Days of Christmas is an iconic festive tune that many of us learned as young children. It's coming to life at the Dallas Arboretum this holiday season, with animated gazebos each depicting a different verse from the song. Along with attractions like cookie baking classes, pictures with Santa, and a Christmas village, this unforgettable event is sure to make the most wonderful time of year even more enchanting.
Each year, the Dallas Arboretum brings an age-old holiday ballad to life. Animated gazebos each feature a different verse from the 12 Days of Christmas, creating a wonderland of enchantment for families to stroll through and fa-la-la-llow along with the lyrics.
Over one million lights illuminate the gardens, enhancing their immaculate landscapes and architecturally brilliant historic homes. Grab a piping hot mug of cocoa and settle in for an evening filled with incredible sights and sounds.
Are those the nine ladies dancing? Kids and adults alike are sure to have a blast matching each scene with a line from the song.
Other attractions include a Christmas village of shops, realistic nativity scenes, and festive snacks, plus tea parties, visits with Santa, choir performances, and so much more. There's never a dull moment here during the holiday season!
Hands-on classes teach participants how to cook, bake, and craft an assortment of holiday treasures. Mrs. Claus demonstrates how her signature Christmas cookies are made, while master chefs prepare a Thanksgiving feast. Sampling the labors of your love is definitely the highlight of the experience.
A fancy holiday dinner is served in the beautiful DeGolyer Restaurant, whose halls have been decked with elegant holiday cheer. It's a fixed three-course meal, and the cost is $59 for ages two and up.
Fireplaces set the mood, while merry and bright red tablecloths add a nice festive touch. With dishes like tomato basil soup, beef tenderloin medallions, rosemary potatoes, and molten lava cake with wild cherry sauce, the flavors of the season truly don't get better than this.
