You’ve Never Seen Anything Quite Like This Art Park In Tennessee
Chattanooga, Tennessee, is home to a unique art park that showcases the city's quirky and beautiful artistic spirit.
Tennessee is known for its great outdoors and stunning natural atmosphere, but what about the artistic heart of the folks who live here? Here in Chattanooga, the drive for beauty is strong. Nestled in Tennessee's small patch of southern eastern time zone, the city is a close Georgia neighbor and hides some of the most crafty and beautiful minds in the state. We aren't talking about up-and-comers at the local college, either. Chattanooga has a heart for the quirky and beautiful, and it makes way for beautiful experiences - like this art park, for example.
Chattanooga hosts Sculpture Fields, the largest expanse of art installations of its kind. The public park is welcoming to folks of all shapes and sizes looking to come experience the beauty of man-made art.
The massive sculptures are located at Montague Park, with 33 acres of land serving as the perfect backdrop for these unbelievable art pieces.
You'll find visitors from schoolyards to art communes to those ever-curious Tennessee tourists who want to experience the beauty of their home, in all its unique quirks.
Fido is welcome, too! We hear he has a thing for art.
The collection of pieces is simply breathtaking. There are events in the park throughout the year, and it makes for a great public or homeschool field trip.
A sculpture train is rumored to start hosting folks as early as September, so make sure to keep an eye out!
You'll find more than 35 installations throughout the park, lovingly created by world-renowned artists.
"The New York Times" even lauded the field of artwork in its recent piece on the hip and changing world of tiny Chattanooga.
We love our river city here in the south, and there's nothing more beautiful than experiencing the heart of it. You can visit the Sculpture Fields for yourself at 1800 Polk Street from 8am to 545pm. Have fun!
