This Little Park Is One Of South Dakota’s Best Kept Secrets
Looking for a quiet place to stroll, view wildlife and picnic? Here's a park in Sioux Falls that's a little oasis.
Arrowhead Park is located on the east side of Sioux Falls. The address is 1710 S. River Bluff Road.

This area served as a quarry long ago. The barn, built in 1888, was once used to stable horses.
Dale and Dorothy Weir donated this land to the city of Sioux Falls so that others can enjoy it.
You'll see some interesting quartzite formations in the three quarry ponds at the park.
These formations were created by glaciers during the Ice Age. Many buildings in Sioux Falls were constructed with rock from the quarry.
Take one of six trails in this park to get an up-close look at the scenery. The trails vary from easy to more challenging.
Check out the wildlife here. The ducks, geese and swans gliding across the quarry ponds make this place even more charming.
Arrowhead Park is a great spot for a fall picnic!
The park offers restrooms and a drinking fountain.
Arrowhead Park is open every day, from 5 AM to 10 PM.
