Why You Definitely Should Not Be Dreading Winter in South Carolina

In South Carolina there are really two sides to winter. There's the winter the coastal, midland and parts of the Piedmont regions experience, and then there's the WINTER the rest of the state gets. It's really the best of both worlds, having both a cold and a mild winter within a short drive of one another. Let's take a look at all the reasons you shouldn't be dreading winter this year.

1. Winter means the holidays are here.

2. And the holidays mean the return of all those festive Christmas light displays.

3. Winter also means many warm cozy nights are ahead.

4. ...filled with hot chocolate or a frothy chai tea.

5. We also get to pull out our favorite winter clothes.

6. ...and boots.

7. You can take those cool crisp morning walks you love so much.

8. And you won't have to fight off those pesky mosquitos for a while.

9. In parts of the state, winter means you keep a watchful eye for the first snow.

10. And in other parts, winter means less crowded beaches.

11. ... and more shells for local collectors.

12. Winter brings back hope for snow/ice days off from work or school.
