For historic flavor, visit Cattle Trough Park, named in honor of Daniel Island’s cattle farming days, which date back to the early to mid-1900s. When Daniel Island was developed, two old cattle troughs were found in the area and were used to create fountains for this park.

The last three parks we're featuring are for the kids, starting with Children's Park where your inner child will be delighted by the big turtles and boats to climb on or just for a fun photo! The park is laid out in the shape and scale of the Charleston area with maps and a legend showing where you are in the Charleston area with actual water to represent the rivers and other landmarks like an oak tree to represent the Angel Oak on Johns Island.
