Summer's always busy, but when autumn rolls around? Our calendars get even more jam-packed with fun activities all season long. For many it's the most perfect time of the year, with golden sunshine, crisp temperatures, and the sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet. No matter how packed your calendar, make sure you find time to squeeze in a trip to this charming Rhode Island pumpkin patch. The whole family will have a blast.
Autumn's all about traditions, and locals have been visiting Adams Farm in Cumberland for their fun fall festivities for years.
Sprawled across 100 acres, the more than century-old Rhode Island farm promises a full menu of fall fun, welcoming guests from early September through the end of October.
Climb aboard an old-fashioned wagon for a hayride around the farm before strolling through the pumpkin patch. You'll find a generous assortment of pumpkins, perfect for decorating and baking.
Some activities, like hayrides and the corn maze, are only open on the weekends.
Escape from the corn maze; go for a leisurely stroll on a walking path, and play cornhole at the largest pumpkin patch in Rhode Island.
You're on a farm, so you'll get to meet some of the residents, too - from cows and goats to donkeys and horses.
You'll undoubtedly make a few new friends at the farm petting area. You might even score some one-of-a-kind photos.
Visit the farmstand, or grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks (only open on weekends) then have a picnic at one of the tables.
Season passes are available, or you can purchase tickets.
Head over to the Adams Farm website for more information or to buy tickets. Or, stop by its Facebook page.
