The Water Is A Brilliant Blue At Easton’s Beach, A Refreshing Stop In Rhode Island
Easton's Beach in Rhode Island offers pristine sandy shores, cobalt blue waters, and numerous amenities, making it a beloved local spot.
To say that Rhode Island has some beautiful beaches would be an understatement. After all, we're called the Ocean State for good reason. That being said, some of our shoreline is so fantastic, we can't help but thank our lucky stars to have so much of it in our backyards. If you've ever been to Easton's Beach, you know exactly what we mean.
Easton's Beach is located at the beginning of the Newport Cliff Walk on Memorial Boulevard.
The beach spans about 3/4 of a mile, offering perfectly pristine sandy shoreline.
Although this beach is easily reachable and impossible to miss, it never feels overly crowded.
This is not to say it's a hidden gem -- when it comes to Easton's Beach, the secret is definitely out.
If you ask a local, you might hear them call this First Beach.
It is, after all, Newport's largest public beach.
You might know this place as the beach with the bluest water in Rhode Island.
The water often appears to be a picture-perfect cobalt blue.
On a warm summer day, you'll find people enjoying the surf to the fullest.
And since the beach has plenty of amenities, like restrooms, showers, and a scrumptious snack bar, people tend to make a day of it when they visit.
It's no surprise that this beach is one of the most beloved spots in Rhode Island.
There's even a year-round aquarium and a beautiful 1950's carousel to enjoy.
While Rhode Island's beaches are about to slowly start opening back up, Easton's Beach is still temporarily closed.
But rest assured, it's well worth the wait to spend the afternoon on these sandy shores.
The beautiful beaches are just one of many reasons Rhode Island is the best state.
