If you are ready to stretch your legs on an easy and quick trail, this one at the Audubon Society is a great place to start.
Coming in at 1.3 miles, this is a lovely trail that highlights all the beauty of our forests.
Moss is abundant and provides many picture-taking opportunities as you travel along Balch Creek.
Wildlife is also plentiful at this bird-watching paradise. While you may be looking up for one of the over 40 species of birds that live here, be sure to look down as well.
When you cross the pond, closed in with lily pads, be on the look-out for these salamanders that make occasional appearances on the trails and in the water.
Take the Founders Trails to to the North Collins Trail to complete this short loop. Once back at the parking lot, consider touring the Wildlife Care Center where you can visit the educational birds that call the center home.
