A Trail Full Of Cascade Stream Views In State Game Lands Will Lead You To A Waterfall Paradise In Pennsylvania

Explore the Tom Lowe Trail in Pennsylvania's State Game Lands 10 for a moderately challenging hike with beautiful natural scenery.

Most of us, who have lived in PA for any amount of time, know about the many state parks just waiting for us to explore. However, did you know there are quite a few state game lands hiding beautiful hiking trails and other natural beauty? Explore State Game Lands 10 along the Tom Lowe Trail in Pennsylvania for breathtaking natural scenery and a challenge.

Running through State Game Lands #10 near Hamburg, the Tom Lowe Trail stretches just a pinch under five miles and is considered moderate in difficulty.

Be prepared to travel over rocks, some of them rather large, as you make your way along the path.

However, the challenges you may face are certainly worth the gorgeous views to which you'll be treated. The loop trail can get quite busy, too.

Some hikers recommend following the trail counter-clockwise, so the hills require less effort. If you do that, start at the small parking lot.

Otherwise, follow the Sand Spring Trail to start. It will lead you to the trailhead for the Tom Lowe Trail.

The trail is both kid-friendly and dog-friendly, as long as dogs remain leashed and are cleaned up after.

Definitely wear comfy, sturdy shoes as the terrain is rocky, and your feet might get wet at some of the stream crossings. (Some crossings have picturesque footbridges.)

You'll even happen upon a wooden bench near a small waterfall, where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

The trail's brimming with lush greenery, flowing streams, and a tumbling waterfall, making it the perfect backdrop for photographs.
