How fortunate are we to live in a state that's bursting with natural wonders, many of which we can explore and even have a hands-on experience? When you follow the Ringing Rocks Trail in Pennsylvania, you'll likely be joined by other adventure-seekers as you pass beautifully unique boulders and a waterfall, all of which leads to Boulder Field, one of those natural wonders you really have to experience for yourself.
Tucked in Ringing Rocks Park in Bucks County, Ringing Rocks Trail promises surprises and natural beauty at every turn. Just don't forget to bring your camera along.
For the most comfortable hiking experience, wear hiking boots or shoes that support your ankles. While the trail is considered easy for hikers of all ages and skill levels, you might decide to walk in the boulder field.
You'll hike just under a mile along the trail that's dotted with unique boulders and even leads to a cascading waterfall, the perfect backdrop for photos.
Unfortunately, the waterfall can sometimes run dry, so a visit after a rain or a snowfall is probably your best bet to see it.
Even if you don't get to see the waterfall, you might still marvel at the rock formation over which it tumbles.
Follow the tree-lined path to what's arguably the highlight of the trail: Boulder Field.
Take care as you explore the field that's brimming with thousands of rocks. That hammer? Use it to gently hit the rocks.
The rocks will ring out when you hit them. If you have the time, experiment a bit to hear the sounds the different rocks make.
