The cozy state park sits on the outskirts of the charming town of Mont Alto and is within easy driving distance of Caledonia State Park.

Mont Alto State Park offers plenty to do with hiking along mountain roads, trout fishing in the West Branch of Antietam Creek, and snowmobiling in the winter.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of two pavilions in two picnic areas. The Old Carousel Pavilion provides the perfect spot for an impromptu picnic or a planned get together.

The pavilion (the roof of the pavilion is pictured below) was once a carousel. It can be reserved for special occasions.

Mont Alto State Park, which offers camping all year around, welcomes guests 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset.
