Embark on an adventure among nature at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, in Kempton, a sanctuary for birds of prey that promises plenty to do both indoors and outdoors.

If you haven't been on the Lookout Trail yet, which leads to several magnificent overlooks on Hawk Mountain, you'll definitely want to slip on your comfiest hiking shoes or boots and set off.

Considered an easy trail, the Lookout Trail is one of the sanctuary's most popular trails, spanning just under two miles.

Pick up the trail at the Visitors Center, and follow the orange blazes, which you'll see on trees and on rocks along the trail.

The trail usually takes around 90 minutes round-trip, perhaps more if you spend considerable time admiring the sweeping views from the lookouts.

Talk with staff and ask questions about the migration process. During your hike, you can also check out the view from the Bald Overlook and River of Rocks Overlook.
