The winter of 2017 is one to go down in the history books. Kids had a lot of snow days, the city came to a standstill for days, and ice and snow were a mainstay. While this hot summer we have been having may have you longing for cooler days, not many people want a repeat of last winter.

Thankfully, the Old Farmers' Almanac 2017/2018 winter predictions are out, and according to the trusted resource, we won't be dealing with a whole lot of the white stuff this year.

While the last few years have been exceptionally wet, this year things are expected to be drier during the winter.

There will still surely be plenty of wet winter weather, but the Old Farmers' Almanac is predicting a return to more typical winter conditions in Portland, in regards to both precipitation and temperature.
