Hang Out With Sheep On This Working Farm In Oklahoma
Shepherd’s Cross in Claremore offers a peaceful farm experience with various activities and a unique shopping experience.
Sometimes you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy a serene place. Shepherd's Cross in Claremore is one of those places that offers a peaceful setting. It's a working farm open to the public where you can spend a day in the country. Step back in time and enjoy the English countryside atmosphere and roaming sheep at this unique and beautiful retreat in the Sooner State.
Visiting Shepherd's Cross is a peaceful respite in northeastern Oklahoma. There is so much to do on the farm, including spending time with the adorable sheep.
You can learn all about shepherding and watch the sheep roam the pasture. All the sheep are grass fed and free ranging.
One of my favorite things to do is watch the babies and pet them when possible.
They also have a Shepherd's Wool Shop where you can purchase many products made from 100% wool. Products to choose from include, roving, batts, yarn, felt pelts, felt squares,
dusters, potpourri sachets, trivets, hand woven blankets, hand dyed yarns
and fibers, woven and knit apparel, and much more.
Plus, you'll want to visit the Farm Shop - a darling shop filled with Amish jams, jellies, butters, local honey
nuts, sweet treats, seasonal decor, and gifts.
You can also buy Grass Fed, Grass Finished, free range meat and beef from animals born and raised on the farm.
There's nothing quite like spending the day at this delightful farm. Other activities include, visiting the Farm Museum, touring the Wool Mill, visiting the Educational Farm Silo, enjoying the Bible Garden, and more. Guests are allowed to drop in and visit without reservations but large groups must call ahead.
