Fort Cobb State Park is always a lovely place to visit but they just added some new cabins for overnight guests, which now makes it the perfect place to stay and play this summer. Fort Cobb State Park is located in southwest Oklahoma and offers an array of outdoor recreation, along with beautiful cabins for a rustic getaway.
There are five cabins that sleep between 4-6 guests comfortably. The cabins are nestled in between the trees so there is lots of privacy.
Inside the cabins, you'll find a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove, a restroom, beds with linens, and more. Plus, they have fiber-optic internet so if you need to do business while visiting you are all set.
The cabin that sleeps four comes with a king-size bed and sleeper sofa and the cabin that sleeps six comes equipped with the same but with an additional set of bunk beds.
The state park is home to Fort Cobb Lake, a beautiful lake with 4,000 surface acres perfect for swimming, fishing, boating, and water sports.
The Fort Cobb State Park Golf Course is a great spot for golfers to enjoy 18-holes with stunning lake views.
They also offer primitive camping and 34 full-hookup RV sites that are surrounded by picnic pavilions, playgrounds, and comfort stations.

Another fun state park to visit in Oklahoma is Great Salt Plains State Park in Jet. It is the only place in the world where you can dig for hourglass-shaped crystals and it's truly amazing.
