We don't know about you, but during the hottest months of the year, we can get pretty desperate to stay cool. Summer in Oklahoma can be absolutely miserable at times. As great as the state is, the summer doldrums are very much real here. There's not much better than a nice cold creek to relax in on a hot summer's day. We found a spot that has it all in Delaware County: Flint Creek Water Park. Check this place out! Flint Creek Water Park in Oklahoma is awesome, and we're sure you'll love it as much as we do.
Flint Creek Water Park in Oklahoma is located about seven miles west of the Arkansas state line. You'll find the park right along Highway 412 in Delaware County.
This creekside water park has tons of picnic tables, grills, trees for shade, and ample parking. You'll definitely want to arrive early, as it can get pretty crowded.
Opening hours vary, depending on the weather. Flint Creek Water Park typically opens just before Memorial Day weekend.
You can bring your own food and drinks and set up camp all day. You'll also want to bring chairs, towels, and water shoes to make your day more enjoyable.
You can actually camp here, too! Tent camping is first-come, first-served (no reservations required or accepted), and there are no RV hookup sites.
Flint Creek Water Park is located adjacent to Flint Creek Dam. It's a popular spot to check out, but remember that it can also be hazardous - so be careful if you swim over in that direction.
Note that Flint Creek Water Park's opening status is weather-dependent. If it's rainy or too cool, the park may not be open. It's always best to call prior to visiting to make sure that the park is operating.
