Welcome to Walnut Beach, a little slice of paradise hiding right here in the Buckeye State.
You'll find it along Lake Avenue and Walnut Boulevard in Ashtabula.
One of the lesser-known Lake Erie beaches, it's quite the hidden gem. It's uncommon to encounter crowds.
In the distance, you'll spot the picturesque Ashtabula Lighthouse.
Sit back, relax and watch the waves crash ashore from the majestic Great Lake.
You'll also find interesting rocks and pieces of driftwood along this pretty little beach.
As an added bonus, there's even a pirate themed playground for the little ones to enjoy.
You can visit Walnut Beach daily from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
And, as you can probably imagine, the sunsets here are absolutely stunning. If you have the time, you'll want to stay and soak it in.
