Here in Ohio, we're fortunate to have so many beautiful waterfalls to chase on a relaxing weekend afternoon—and if you don't have the time for an all-day hike, there's plenty to see that don't require much hiking at all. (Be sure to check out this list of waterfalls that require little to no hiking.) Paine Falls Park in Leroy Township is an underrated metro park with a gorgeous waterfall that's easily accessible. You can practically drive right up to these falls, which are located less than an a quarter of a mile away from the designated parking area.

Welcome to Paine Falls Park, a beautiful little valley that's home to a majestic waterfall and part of the Lake Metroparks system.

The falls feature multiple tiers that creature beautiful cascades. After heavy rainfall, the falls flow strong and powerful.
The waterfall and park are named after Edward Paine, the founder of Painesville. By the 1850s, the surrounding town known as "Paine's Hollow" fell into decline. In 1974, the park was established.
You can view the falls from an observation deck that's just a short 0.12-mile walk from the parking lot. The park's official hours are 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.
