There’s A Farm Park In Ohio That Your Kids Will Want To Visit Again And Again

Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland is a hidden gem for out-of-towners and a best kept secret for locals. It's a farm-themed park where your kids can run, learn, play and even pet some live farm animals. While you can visit this park year-round, it really comes alive in the spring and summer months. Here's why this special park makes an ideal day trip destination for the whole family:

In addition to farm themed playground equipment, you'll likely spot some different farm animals while you're here.

The Barnyard features alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, pigs and chickens. You might even get to see a demonstration or two, such as cow milking or observing how cheese is made.

The farmpark is open year-round on Tuesday- Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5p.m. There's even a cafe that's open daily where you can grab breakfast, lunch, snacks or coffee.

Please note: The park is closed on Mondays and on holidays.

Admission to this unique park is $8 and $6 for children ages 2 - 11. Farmpark members are free.

After you've spent some time with the animals, explore the grounds of the 235-acre park. There are several picturesque trails.
