Nothing beats a refreshing hike with a waterfront view—except maybe a refreshing hike with a waterfront view and an observation tower. Lake Erie Bluffs in Perry, Ohio features beautiful trails and stunning views via its observation tower that overlooks the lake. If you’ve yet to explore this metropark and its observation tower, you’ll want to do so this summer.
This stunning beachfront metropark features 600 acres, including 40-foot-high beach bluffs, 9,000 feet of shoreline and perfectly picturesque beaches.
You'll find it along Clark Road in Perry, Ohio.
What really makes this park unique is its newest addition: a 50-foot coastal observation tower. You'll find it along the 0.6-mile Eagle View Loop Trail.

The tower features 360-degree views and is open daily (weather permitting) during regular park hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
You can find the tower near the Clark Road entrance of the park, but you can also access the tower from the Lane Road entrance via a short trail.
As you can imagine, the sunrises and sunsets are particularly spectacular to view from the tower.

And you'll definitely want to come back in the fall, as the bright blue lake is brilliant against the colorful autumn foliage.
